I don’t remember the last time I put together a design. It was at least 8 months ago….however, I think I finally am back behind the computer screen designing away. So today I got inspired by the one & the only Mahatma Gandhi, whose quote always warm my heart.
Today it’s yoga mantra day. I really believe in the below quote as it really resonates with how I feel when I do yoga. Something magical happens & it takes me back from any anxieties, worries or artificial feelings. Yoga grounds me to be a better person from the inside & out. And one person who will agree with me is my husband – who sees it happen on a daily basis when I get back home from my yoga practice.
Today I made a new mantra quote as I thought it was time for a yoga mantra of the day update. At times I forget that what we do today is basically sowing the seeds for tomorrow. So today I am sharing the quote of a very inspiring person whose philosophy & knowledge I love to follow & live by – Mahatma Gandhi.
Wow, I didn’t know that the design I put together a few weeks ago would spread like a wild fire. Very exciting – every where I go and look for yoga news, inspiration & information I see it. It is fun to get a silent recognition to my #karmagivingback project. The picture was taken by camyam73 on sxc.hu – just to give proper credit to the photographer.
There will be more to come, now I am off to go and find my own buddha statues to photograph as I love taking pictures as well. If you have any quotes, sayings, yoga sutras etc that you feel would be neat to use in a design please send them in the comment section. Sometimes I get brain freezes with finding quotes that are inspiring enough to design with.
Namaste to you on this Sunday.
Today I am making a double post. I wanted to share a peaceful mantra of the day that I felt was a soothing Thursday wish for all my yogi followers. Please use, share and inspire. All my design quote mantras are made as my #karmagivingback project where I design for the you & the world to use and inspire from.
Today is my karma giving back day – where I designed a yoga mantra about yoga found in the Bhagavad Gita. If I had a yoga studio I would probably put this one on my wall:) I always have a tendency to love my designs in the beginning and after a few days I go back and think I could do something better – I guess I am a perfectionist when it comes to my graphic design skills.
I hope that you will be enjoying your day & that you think about the below mantra when you practice yoga next time & that you are patient in your journey of finding yourself. Enjoy.
By doing yoga you get a chance to live in the now. There is something magical that happens that makes you less anxious about tomorrow and less depressed about your yesterday.
For me yoga relieves all the stress from yesterday & tomorrow and opens up the day as a new day, which is why I decided to create the below yoga inspirational quote of the day. Once you are off the mat after the going through struggles, enjoyments, hardships & breaths – your mind is clear & it gives you a day of a new beginning.
I hope that you are enjoying today’s new beginning as I will this morning!
I want to send you all my Thanks & Giving to you all. Today I have dedicated the day to being grateful & also to give my gratefulness to others. I designed together a small Thanks & Giving quote that I though fit for the day.
I hope that you are enjoying your Thanks & Giving Day as well!
I created a inspirational quote for the company I am a partner in/work with. I like the quote & what it means, which is why I wanted to share it with you. Even though it doesn’t include any yoga in the actual quote I still feel it fits me for who I am as a person, for what I am trying to achieve with my yoga & my lifestyle. To stay fit & to live with training/yoga/workout as a part of my everyday with no real end goal other than making & keeping it as my lifestyle.
I hope that you will enjoy today’s mantra.
Figured I would share a little #Aloha with you. Just read on Facebook a post written by a friend from NY who lives in Hawaii who posted “In the wake of all the shootings lately, May I suggest we trade guns for surfboards, anger for aloha and Manhattan for Waikiki” – which I totally agree with.
However, we might not be able to fit all the New Yorkers in Hawaii but instead I figured I would share a little #Aloha spirit with you as I today took a power walk/run around my favorite place in the world – Diamond Head.
Namaste & Aloha to You on this Saturday!
Since I am a graphic designer – I sometimes create inspirational quotes. If you have any inspirational quotes you would like me to create just comment those requests down and I might be able to design something inspirational from it. It is a part of my #karmagivingback project that I have created for myself.
I feel that it is important to give back – it doesn’t need to be anything material – as it also can be a service or an inspiration. Today’s yoga mantra is a quote that I really liked – which is something I have been working on for myself for the past few months as well. Finding happiness – but we all have to start by ourselves in order to share the happiness with others.
