About the Yoga Soul

My name is Rita & I am a recently found yoga soul. I was found by my teacher – Yoga – in the beginning of January 2012. So I am still fresh off the boat. My yoga journey happened when I was in the midst of quitting smoking, where a Groupon offer for Bikram yoga ended up in my e-mail at the same time as a dear friend had suggested for me to try it out. With these 2 signs leading the way – I took my first Bikram class just days after New Year. The first Bikram class was both dreading & lovely! From that day on I never turned back – Yoga got me hooked & I will never let Yoga go.

Now I am in the blissful moment of being a mother of my first child, married to my beautiful husband & enjoying the island life of Hawaii. I have a passion for design & photography – and have through the world wide web now got the opportunity to share my yoga life journey with you to release & share what challenges, moments & memories I am living through on a daily basis.

Mahalo for visiting & I hope that you are having a sunny & shiny day!

Namaste & Light to You

    • Thank you so much for the wish! I just discussed the yoga connection, oneness & interconnectedness with everything & yoga the other day! I’m wishing you all the best, light & happiness as well!

  1. Hi Rita,
Nice site, would you mind giving your opinion on a yoga project I am working on?
It would help me improve it by leaps and bounds.

Please suggest how I can contact you?

  2. I have already left a message here in the past, but just happened across your blog again, as somebody came to my blog through yours, and just felt like telling you you’re a Beautiful Gorgeous Lady….your husband is blessed, and your child. Wishing you all Light, Peace, and Love.

    • Thank you soo much Truth Yoga for your kind words & for swinging by again. I hope life & yoga is giving you beautiful light, happiness & sunshine. Love connecting & getting blessings sent through this blog. Sending you lots of love & light as wellπŸ’–βœ¨πŸ™

  3. Thank you for the beautiful words and photos! It’s strange. I love yoga and photography but never thought of melding the two! I’ve been wanting to move to somewhere where there’s a yoga community, people who don’t just do it…They believe in it heart and soul. Your blog makes me feel a bit connected to the community, but one day in the near future, I want to have yogi friends! For now, cyber-yogi friends will do! πŸ™‚ Congrats on your new family and quitting smoking! :)!!!

    • Aww thank you soo much for your beautiful comment Swtspontaneous! It’s a lot thanks to Instagram I found my new photography & yoga passion. If you have an iphone I highly suggest you to partake in Instagram & the Instagram yoga community! There are a huge community of like minded & beautiful yogis who you might connect with & get inspired by. Some of those people might even live close by you. Im thinking that we got yogis all over the world but it is just difficult to connect with these amazing people. But thanks to Instagram we know found a tool to all unify each other. Looking forward to have you as my new cyber-yogi friend as well. And if you got Instagram let me know as I would love to become your new IG friendπŸ˜Šβœ¨πŸ™

  4. Aloha Mama! This is Paulee McCormack from Instagram, I love your blog! πŸ˜€ I wanted to chat with you about living in Hawaii. I am very much considering moving. I am on the east coast all the way in Boston, Mass. So, island life would be a complete cultural shock to me but it’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time now. I was hoping you could share some of thoughts in making the move, living expenses, cultural differences etc. ! You can shoot me an email as well! P.mccormack@hotmail.com hope to her from you soon!
